LAUREN C. BADDAR

Biography

Lauren is a member of the Employment Law Group. She counsels employers on a wide variety of employment matters including policy development and employment manuals, affirmative action programs, drug and alcohol testing, discrimination and harassment in the workplace, Family Medical Leave Act issues, employment contracts, and wage and hour issues. She works collaboratively with clients and other members of the Employment Law Group to develop individualized employment policies and practices that comply with federal and state requirements and best suit the needs of the employer's business.

As an experienced critical care nurse, Lauren also has a special interest in health care law. She represents a number of health care clients in employment matters and other legal issues specific to health care such as Medicare and Medicaid compliance, federal and state fraud and abuse regulations, Virginia Department of Health Professionals reporting requirements, and health practitioner contracts.

Lauren and her husband, Adrian Baddar, live with their son and daughter in Newport News, Virginia.
