GENEVA N. PERRY Biography Geneva Perry works in the Estate Planning and Taxation Group at Jones Blechman, Woltz & Kelly, P.C. where she prepares powers of attorney, living wills, advance medical directives, wills, and trusts. Addressing the estate planning needs of the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgendered community is an area of special interest. She also helps families plan for the care of loved ones with special needs, represents clients in guardianship or conservatorship proceedings, and guides individuals through the estate and trust administration process. Geneva also assists religious and other organizations in becoming non-profit 501(c) organizations. Originally from Cheyenne, Wyoming, Geneva attended the University of Wyoming and worked at the University in student affairs until 2000. In fall of the 2000, she became the associate director of admission and coordinator of multicultural recruitment at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Geneva's legal career is very much local and began at the College of William & Mary Marshall Wythe School of Law. During her law school tenure, Geneva served as a board member for the Public Service Fund, participated as a member of the Journal of the Bill of Rights, and received the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association Trial Advocacy Award. After graduating in May 2006, she clerked for the Honorable Cleo E. Powell in the Chesterfield County Circuit Court. Geneva returned to Marshall Wythe in spring 2007 as an adjunct professor in Legal Skills and joined Jones Blechman in August 2007. She is presently on the Board of Directors for the Hampton Roads Good Samaritan Fund and frequently speaks at local elementary and middle schools about law and education.
